BIOGRAPHY

Raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Rocha was exposed to music at a young age. As the third generation of a family of musicians, he would watch each Sunday as his family played and sang in churches.

At the age of 8, Rocha began playing the piano, and by 12 was working professionally around São Paulo playing keyboard. At 13, he entered the Conservatório Carlos Gomes, where he learned to read music and hone his skills as a musician. He then continued his guitar music studies at the legendary Conservatório De Tatuí, with a focus on American Jazz and Brazilian Instrumental Music.

As his passion for songwriting and music direction grew, Rocha began to build a reputation as a respected music producer. After working with dozens of Brazil’s top artists, he soon landed one of the most prestigious gigs in South America — serving as the music director, arranger, and producer on Programa Silvio Santos, the #1 television show in Brazil for many years.

Despite his success in Brazil, Rocha had his sights set on realizing his ultimate dream - becoming a successful artist and producer in the United States. In the spring of 2016, Rocha decided to make the move to Los Angeles, California. Since arriving, Rocha has made a name for himself as one of the most dynamic, adaptable, and professional artists in L.A.

Rocha currently holds residencies at some of Los Angeles’ most popular venues with his band, the Rocha Collective. The members of his band routinely perform with artists such as Toto, Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, and on shows such as The Voice and American Idol.

In the fall of 2021, Rocha embarked on an international tour with legendary Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin. Rocha have also shared the stage with artists like Stevie Wonder, Terrace Martin, Gloria Trevi, Mike Philips and many others.

In addition to his performing and touring duties, Rocha maintains a very busy schedule as a session musician, recording artist, and producer working with countless artists in his Los Angeles studio.

Currently, you can see Rocha with his band, The Rocha Collective, on Fridays at his residency at the Sun Rose in West Hollywood.
